Rita Rodriguez Beaty 97, of Patagonia, AZ, peacefully passed away on January 4, 2011. Born on December 23, 1913 at the Three R Mining Camp between Nogales and Patagonia, AZ. A loving mother and grandmother who was preceded in death by husband, Clarence L. "Chapo" Beaty; sons, Clarence J. Beaty, Doss T. Beaty and daughter, Louise Belle Beaty. Survived by sons, Gilbert R. (Dora) Beaty and Marshall L. (Rosemary) Beaty; grandmother of Diana Beaty, Yvette (Alfonso) Hernandez, Patricia (Julio) Moreno and John T. Beaty; nine great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. Rita lived in Patagonia all of her life and is a third generation Patagonian. Chapo was one of the last surviving original Territorial Arizona Rangers until his death in 1964. At the time of her passing, Rita was the last surviving widow of an original Territorial Arizona Ranger. Her passing will finally close the last chapter to that historical romantic time period of the Territorial Arizona Rangers. The Arizona Rangers will be serving as her pall bearers. Funeral Services on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Patagonia, Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with Mass beginning at 12:00 p.m. followed by an interment in the Patagonia Cemetery.
