Richard N. Ortiz was a man who loved his family, easily made friends and was quick to help anyone in need. He passed away on December 6, 2011 at the age of 38. Richard was proud of his children, Emilio and Eliana. He often volunteered at their schools and was a stage dad for their folklorico dances for Viva Performing Arts. Richard was a native Tucsonan who graduated from Pueblo High School and was a facilities supervisor at Pima Community College, West Campus. Richard touched the lives of many families, coaching Little League baseball and youth soccer for several years. He attended Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and had volunteered to help feed the needy. Richard is survived by his wife, Cristina; his parents, Bonifacio and Lupe, as well as his grandparents, Jose and Concepcion. He is also survived by his sister, Veronica Soto and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other family members. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Rosary 7:00 p.m. at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Mass will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1300 N. Greasewood Rd. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
