Felicita "Pita" Ortega

Felicita "Pita" Ortega Passed away on November 19, 2011 in Tucson, Arizona. Known for her devotion to her children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. A devoted Catholic who spent hours crocheting rosaries and Sacred Heart mementos. Born on July 28, 1942 in Silver City, New Mexico. Preceded in death by her father, Raymundo Leyba Benavidez of Silver City; mother, Beatrice Polanco Mata of Gila, New Mexico; sisters, Hermila Garcia and Pifana Soto and brother, Raymundo Benavidez, Jr. Survived by a spouse, Leandro Maldonado Ortega and siblings, Lily Holguin (Tudie) of Silver City, Beatrice Saenz (Sam) of Santa Clara, NM, Virginia Sierra (Alex deceased) of Tucson and Mariana Padilla (Juan) of Silver City. Also survived by her children, Julie Duarte (Sam) and her children, Erika Samantha Duarte, Anthony Joseph Duarte and Ethan Samuel Duarte; Louis Joseph Ortega (Brenda) and his children, Ian Louis Ortega and Jordan Breann Ortega; Dan Ray Ortega (Stacey) and his children, Tara Rae Ortega, Falon Rae Ortega and Aidan Rae Ortega; Leonard Mark Ortega (Britt) and his children, Jessica Renee Ortega, Mark Anthony Ortega and Adam Joseph Ortega; Martin Anthony Ortega (Jacqueline) and his children, Tyler Nichole Ortega and Neve Alyssa Ortega; Bianca Ortega (Bobby Joe) and her children, Holiday Michelle Bustamante, Janice Gabrielle Bustamante and Raymond Jose Hernandez. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Religious Ceremony at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS, 2580 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ. An interment will be held at the Mesa Catholic Cemetery in Gila, NM on a date to be determined.
