Ramon S. Quiroga

Ramon (Ray) S. Quiroga 83, went to the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2012. Born on June 26, 1928 in Patagonia, AZ, he relocated to Tucson, AZ in 1958 with his wife and family. He worked at ASARCO, Inc until retiring in 1988. Ray loved sports! He played many sports over the years including baseball, bowling and golf. When he wasn't playing sports, he was watching them. He was loved and respected by his family and friends. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elena (De la Ossa); children, German (Bea), Rosalina and Julie (Fred) Quiroz; grandchildren, Cristal (Johnny) Rivera, Anna (Mark) Caffrey, David (Jennifer) Quiroga and Marcos, Monique and Nicholas Quiroz; great-grandchildren, Antonio and Victoria Rivera and Claire Caffrey, and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrow Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd., Tucson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ramon S. Quiroga's honor to Salpointe Catholic High School to benefit student athletics. Private burial.
