J. Joseph Munoz

J. Joseph Muñoz was called home to the Lord on April 15, 2012. He was born June 22, 1958 in Los Angeles, CA. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Rosa; cherished children, Joseph (Chelsea), Monique and Andrew; stepsons, Alex and Miguel Castillo; parents, Jose and Isabel; sisters, Olga Pickering and Annette Villarruel; nieces and nephews and soon to be born grandson, Elijah. Joe lived his life to the fullest every day and was loved dearly by all. He always took care of us as a husband, father, son, brother, friend and leader. He was thrilled with the announcement of his first grandson and proud of his son's upcoming high-school graduation. Joe never met a stranger and never hesitated to help anyone. We will miss his enthusiasm and energy for life, his sense of humor, and his amazing cooking. He lived his dream as a firefighter for TFD which was cut short after an injury, but moved on to make a difference in so many lives for American National Insurance Company for over 23 years. You will always be loved and never forgotten. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, with a graveside Service at Holy Hope Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Last Alarm Foundation, Inc., P.O.
