Arnoldo R. Alvarez

Arnoldo R. Alvarez 75, passed away on May 15, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary M. Alvarez; brother, Jose Angel Alvarez; children, Tina (Frank) Sandoval, Georgina (Raul) Almazan, Vera (Michael) Soltero, Sonya (Pete) Guerrero and Richard (Shems) Alvarez; nine grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and a "plethora" of brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Alvarez and sister, Dora Alvarez. Arnoldo proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and provided for his family by working as a Heavy Equipment Operator Local 428 for 40 years. Services will be on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Santa Cruz Church with a Viewing from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., Rosary 10:00 a.m. and Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. Funeral will conclude upon Mass ending. Services entrusted to MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS, 2580 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, Arizona.
