Israel R. Vargas

Israel R. Vargas 74, born August 2, 1937, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. Survived by his sons, Israel (Angie) and Manny (Lynda); daughter, Irina (Kris); widower of Ingrid and partner to Nadia Keiser; grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of six. Also survived by five sisters, Stella, Mary, Annie, Della and Rosemary; two brothers, Alfred and Felix. Preceded in death by his sister, Esther. He spent his time working with the special needs community at the Tumbleweed Compadre Ranch and was active in the horse community. We lost him while he was helping a friend. He will be missed by many. Services will be at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS, 2580 S. 6th Avenue, on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 12 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
