Rafael M. Salgado

Rafael M. Salgado (Fai), born October 24, 1928 and passed away on May 25, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Eleazar and Mercedes; brothers, Eleazar, Oscar and Roberto; sister, Maria Jesus and his loving wife Rebecca R. Salgado. Survived by his children; Terry (Frank), Patsy (Dell), Ralph Jr., Gloria and David (Martha); grandchildren, Deanna, Lorraine, Becky (Adrian), Michelle, Gabriel, Leandra, Marcella and Thomas; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mercedes, Bertha and Memo. A hard-working and honorable man retiring from Magma Copper Co. and the State of Arizona. He loved playing the harmonica, accordion, cards and pool. He also loved the Arizona Diamond Backs. He especially loved his family-leaving behind a strong legacy. Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Martinez Funeral Chapels from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Rosary 7 p.m. Mass is on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima followed by a burial at Holy Hope Cemetery.
