Nana Socorro will always be remembered for her loving nature and her oh so special pancakes that nearly all her grandchildren and children had that opportunity to enjoy at one time or another. Besides nana’s pancakes nana enjoyed making beans and tortillas, she will always be remembered for her selflessness as she always thought of others before herself. Nana made the decision to retire from taking care of grandchildren after taking care of her grandson Michael Joshua Torres. She is quoted in saying “This is the last grandchild I take care of,” however this did not mean nana stopped loving and caring for all her grandchildren she simply retired from extended baby care. There are numerous stories that will be told by all of nana’s treasures, as her legacy will never be forgotten as long as we continue to carry her in our hearts and minds.
