Flora Lope Burgos

Prof. Flora L. Burgos, 88, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at her home in Nogales, Arizona. She is survived by her children; Virginia Burgos Macias, Gilberto Burgos, Jr., Manuel Jesus Burgos, Flor Ivonne Lopez, Andres Eduardo Burgos and Dulce Maria Garcia; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Jose Gilberto Burgos, Sr. and her grandson, Manny Burgos, Jr. She was born October 27, 1924 in Merida, Yucatan, the daughter of Andres Lope and Sofia (Huerta) de Lope. Visitation will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels on Saturday, September 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church followed by a burial in Nogales Cemetery.
