JOE M. RODRIGUEZ Sunrise April 29, 1944 – Sunset December 5, 2013 Joe Rodriguez, born April 29, 1944 and passed away peacefully on December 5, 2013 at age 69. Preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Elivra Rodriguez, and brother Freddie Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife Sarah “Mickie” of 34 years, daughter Marie (David), sons Roman (Ana “Becky”), Arnold, and Joseph, grandchildren Shalane, Danielle (Martin “Tito”), Oreana “Oreo”, Roman Jr “Ro”, Savannah, China, and Chris, and great-grandchild Martin Jr. who Joe called “Tutor”. In addition, he survived by his sisters Angie, Becky, and Jessie “Guera”, brother Ramon, and many many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Joe was born and raised in Tubac, AZ. At a young age he began working to help take care of his family. He worked as a truck driver for San Xavier and was a Teamsters Union member for nearly 25 years. He was such an amazing person, it is unbelievable how he touched so many lives. He was such a friendly and kind man who talked to everyone and anyone, even if it was just 5 minutes, but in those few minutes you instantly felt his genuineness and good heart. Many will remember his friendliness, conversations, storytelling, and most of all, the passion for the ranch, music, playing his guitar and singing. Joe cared about everyone and always helped in any way he could even if it was just sweeping your front sidewalk or looking after the kids playing outside. He was a wonderful and happy man, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and neighbor. We will all truly miss his loving and always happy presence, especially seeing him walking down 29th Street with little Tutor and his dog Rusty, standing on the corner watching the traffic go by and waving at you and smiling with that great big smile. He leaves us with so many happy and wonderful memories. May he rest in peace and watch over all of us and feel proud. As he would say to us, we now say to him, “God Bless You, we love you and we will miss you very much. Go with God…Que Dios Te Bendiga.“ Visitation will be on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosary 7:00 p.m at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS, 2580 S. 6th Ave. Tucson, Az. 85713. Mass the following week in Tubac, AZ on Saturday, December 21, 2013 - 11:00 a.m, at ST. ANN’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2231 W Frontage Rd, burial to follow at Tubac Cemetery.
