Jesus Covarrubias Duarte

Jesus Covarrubias Duarte, 61, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2014. after a year long fight with cancer. Jesus was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to Daniel Covarrubias and Maria Duarte de Covarrubias. He leaves behind, to join him in Heaven later, his wife Coreen, two daughters Corina (Bravo), Irma Covarrubias, his son Jesus Covarrubias, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel. He is survived by his mother, two brothers, and 5 sisters. Jesus (Chuy) loved life, He always had a positive outlook and had good things to say even when the situation seemed hopeless. He was a loving husband and father. His priority was family and providing for them. Though Chuy had several jobs over the years, truck driving was in his blood. He started driving at the age of sixteen. He attempted several times different career choices and whatever he did, he did well, but he always returned to driving trucks. He had many, many good friends, not just acquaintances. Friends who knew and understood that he said what he meant and meant what he said. He will be dearly missed. Services will be on Sunday, February 2, 2014 beginning with a Christian Service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Comunidad Cristiana, 923 E. Frontage Rd., Rio Rico, AZ. Visitation will continue from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Chapels, 891 W. Mariposa Rd., Nogales, AZ. Services will conclude after visitation.
