Maurilio Alvarado

Maurilio Alvarado was born December 17, 1927 and passed on May 28, 2014. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years "Dora" and eldest child "Fernando". He leaves behind 8 children and their spouses; (Beth), Marty, Bernie (Eliza), Terri (Gerard), Geno (Jeannie), Sylvia (Pete), Patti (Alfonso), Maury (Rosie) and Anna (Pancho). He also leaves behind 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren an 1 great-great grandchild. He was born in California and moved to Tucson in the late 40's. Known to some as "Willie" or "Mike" he was a hard working roofer for many, many years. He passed peacefully surrounded by family. We are better for having been loved by him and we will all miss hearing his stories. Please join us in a "Celebration" of his life on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Martinez Funeral Chapel from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation in his name to the American Cancer Society.
