Luis Q. Ortiz

On June 16, 2014, Luis Q. Ortiz passed away at the age of 79 in his home after battling congestive heart failure. He was at peace, comfortable in his home surrounded by love ones. He was born in Saric, Sonora, Mexico, on July 10, 1934, to Luis and Antonia Ortiz. He arrived in Arizona in the early 1960's and worked as a cowboy on a variety of ranches and enjoyed the ranch life even throughout his retirement years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lupe, his son, Antonio, and siblings, Rafael Ortiz and Eduardo Ortiz. He is survived by his three daughters, Nelva (John Harper), Irma (Stuart Maneth), and Armida, three grandchildren; Dalis and Ruiz Ortiz Sofia Maneth, and siblings; Ana Luisa Ortiz De Garcia, Eva Ortiz Cox, Carlos Ortiz, Cecilia Centeno, Teresita Ortiz, Francisco Ortiz, Ernesto Ortiz, Rosa Maria Peralta, and Alfonsina Ortiz.
