Frank A. Leyva departed this life with his family by his side on March 13, 2015, in Tucson, AZ at the age of 80. He was born May 29,1934, to Francisco and Maria Leyva. He graduated with a Bachelors degree from ASU and then went on to receive his masters degree at the U of A. He was a beloved teacher in Nogales, AZ for over 30 years and is remembered fondly by many of his students. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years Ana Maria and his children Chris (Ruth), Mark (Marybeth), Marcel (Karen), Anna, Melissa (Gerritt), Kenny, Monique (Albert), Francisco, Jose Luis, 13 grandchildren who were very precious to him, 9 beautiful great-grandchildren and his sister Carmen. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and beloved son Galen. He was blessed with a large extended family that was very dear to him. Frank was an avid storyteller and prankster. He truly loved teaching and recounting the many memories of his former students. Frank's greatest passion was his family and being a foster parent. He enjoyed photography, instrumental music, and the countless family vacations. His family loved his generous heart and will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at San Felipe De Jesus Parish, 1901 N. Jose Gallego Dr. Nogales, AZ 85621. Burial and gathering to follow. Martinez Funeral Chapels handled the funeral arrangements.
