Beloved mother Concepcion C. Lerma 88, passed away in Douglas Arizona on Friday evening March 20, 2015. "Conchita", as she was affectionately known by her family and many friends, was born in Cumpas, Sonora, Mexico on November 14, 1926. She came to this country when she was 16 years old, met and married Tomas T. Lerma, who predeceased her. Concepción worked in Douglas for many years as a textile supervisor for manufacturing businesses in Douglas and Agua Prieta. She is survived by her four grieving children: Jose Maria Lerma (Yolanda) Luis Lerma, Alicia Lerma, and Alejandro Lerma (Marti). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aissa Juarez, Diego Lerma, Ilya Elena Lerma, and Thomas Lerma (Candi). Conchita's legacy includes five beautiful great grandchildren: Aleisha, Tomas, Anthony, Isabella, and Ilesandra. Her surviving extended family consists of numerous cousins, nieces, nephews spanning the course of three generations. Concepcion's mission in this life was to love and to help others. Her generous loving soul and her compassion for the plight of others is attested to by the light and love she brought her beloved family and those many friends, whom she helped during the course of her life. She will be always missed and always loved. The Lerma family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude for the caring attention and support, to Esther's Adult Care Douglas, Dr Heide Lodge and staff at Copper Queen Clinic Douglas, Casa de La Paz , Sierra Vista, Dr. Kathryn Bates and staff at Heart Center of Southern Az, Tucson, and staff at Tucson Medical Center and Sabino Canyon Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services will be held on Friday March 27, 2015 from 5-9pm, with Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Chapel 2580 S. 6th Ave, Tucson, Arizona (520) 547-3400. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Church in Douglas, Arizona.
