Alejandro Carbajal Alcantar Alejandro (Alex) Alcantar was born in Tombstone, Az on March 24, 1950, and passed away on June 8, 2015. He is survived by his Mother, Manuela Esther Carbajal Alcantar, Sisters Catherine (Ricardo) Gutierrez, Susan (Stephen) Kelley, Sandra Lee Alcantar, Cynthia (Jim) Moreno, Anna Louise Thompson, and Mary Ellen Quirk, preceded in death by Father, Alejandro Quintero Alcantar. Alex lived in Tucson all of his life and loved it here. He attended Corbett Elementary, Naylor Jr. High, graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1968 and attended the University of Arizona. He loved to hike and camp on Mt. Lemon and explore caves and old ghost towns in Arizona. He studied to be an electronics technician in which he excelled, and owned his own business many years of his life. But his talents were many. He was an accomplished musician, playing guitar and piano (beginning with playing the accordion when very young). He was in many bands and enjoyed all kinds of music. He was a voracious reader all of his life, up until his passing, even though his eyesight was failing him. He had such capacity for facts and figures, conversation was always interesting, fascinating, and remarkable. But his greatest talent was as the Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend that he was to everyone. He had a very big heart and was respected by all. We celebrate his life, but will miss him terribly and there will be an emptiness in our lives that will never be filled. Services for Alejandro will be held on Friday, June 19th, at Martinez Funeral Chapel, 2580 S. 6th Ave. Tucson, Arizona. Visitation is at 9:00am, with Services and Eulogy at 10:00am. Services will conclude at 1:00pm. Martinez Funeral Chapels
