Jose Bernal Gonzalez was born in Bacum, Sonora Mexico in July 17, 1936 and he was raised in Nogales Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents Sabina and Manuel Gonzalez and siblings Moises, Raul, Arturo, Petra, Josephina, Reina and Gloria. During his lifetime he met and married Mary H. Vargas and they raised their 7 children in Mammoth, Arizona. He worked 45 years at Kennecott and ASARCO Ray mine and was always known as a hardworking man. He is now survived by his children Patrick, Rene, Esmeralda, Irma, Gloria, Frank and “Sweetie” Gonzalez along with 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandkids. He was the most humble and loving man. He lived a life that was full of pride, joy, and happiness and took great pride in his family. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put His arms around you And whispered "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you As you slowly slipped away And though we loved you dearly We couldn't make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating Your tired hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Visitation will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 122 West Church Dr. Mammoth, AZ 85618 on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 from 9:30a.m. to 10:30a.m. Mass at 11:00a.m. A burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
