Grace Borquez

Grace Borquez, a long-time Tucson resident passed away peacefully on Friday the 18th of September. Grace was born in Oceanside California and as a young child relocated to Tucson with her parents. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Adelina Burruel, step-mother Agroda Burruel, brother Edwardo Burruel and beloved sister-in-law Olga Burruel. Mom was hard working and provided for her children even through the toughest of times. She loved socializing, music and especially loved to dance. Grace is survived by her five children; Ray Borquez (Erlinda), Tito Borquez (Nona), Peter Borquez (Rosie), Irene Roffinoli (Steve) and Emma Heredia, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, brother Oscar Burruel, sister-in-law Molly Burruel and many loving nieces and nephews. To our beloved Mom, Nana Grace, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, sister, Tia and Friend, we love you to the moon and back!! We hope that you are celebrating as you reunite with Tata, Nanas, Tia Olga and Tio Eddie. Enjoy your dance into heaven. We will miss you and love you more than you will ever know. Heaven has gained and angel. A visitation and rosary will be held Friday, September 25th at 9-10:30 AM at Martinez Funeral Chapel, 2580 S. 6th Avenue with services starting at 11:00 am at Santa Cruz Church at 1220 S. Sixth Avenue in Tucson, Arizona. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
