Oscar R. Contreras

Oscar R. Contreras (Cuate), 81, of Tucson, AZ, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2015. He is survived by his children; daughters, Esther (Mariano) Gastelum, Olga C. Palacios and Guadalupe Contreras (Enrique Nolasco); sons, Freddie (Virgie) Molina, Oscar Jr. (Toto), Ricardo (Lupita) Contreras, Fernando (Juanita) Contreras and Hector Contreras; sisters, Rita (Eddie) Escobar, Margie (Jose) Zuniga, Maria, and Violeta (Oley) Olsen; brothers, Santos (Maria), Jose (Esther), David and Alex Contreras; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther Bravo Contreras; his parents, Santos and Armida Contreras; and his brothers, Frank, Manuel, Arnoldo and Ramon Contreras. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels, 2580 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Rosary 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Mass will be on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Catholic Church followed by a burial at Holy Hope Cemetery. Funeral services entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels.
