Jesus A. Zapata, 71, born August 20, 1944, passed away, October 10, 2015. Preceded in death by Sharon Ann Zapata, son, Francisco William Zapata (Edilia), brother, Julio, grandson Francisco William Zapata ll, grandaughters, Yadel and Cynthia, great-grandaughter Ydette Cazares Urrea. Jesus worked for the State of Arizona and Pima County for over 20 years, viewed as a community activist, who had great interest in education and military veteran issues. Extremely dedicated and passionate about family, with a great zest for life. A very generous and compassionate person with a great sense of humor. An indomitable spirit to be admired, someone who just didn’t give up on anything. He loved the outdoors and truly enjoyed his friends and having a good time, a person who truly enjoyed life. Jesus proudly served in the United States Military during 1964 -1967 and served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. Rest in peace for you will be truly missed and know that your presence enriched our lives. Family request that in-lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite charity.
