Ferdinand Alfonso McTaggaret, 52 of Kingston Jamaica, West Indies came into the world on November 7, 1963, through the union of Alice and Walter McTaggart. His family relocated to Tucson, AZ in 1971. Upon graduating High school, Ferdinand joined the Marine Corps in 1981. He believed in serving his country and protecting the rights of those who lived here especially his family. After leaving the Marine Corps, he attended Pima Community College. Due to a military injury, Ferdinand became disabled. However, he still had opportunity in supporting his family by becoming a property owner/landlord. Ferdinand was a dedicated, kind and loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. His sense of humor had kept us laughing for years. He was a loyal friend who would go the extra mile for the people he loved. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for someone he cared deeply about. We can’t really understand why he was taken away from us, but we know we all have great memories of times he made us laugh or helped us. We think these are the best qualities to remember about him. We can take comfort in knowing that he is where he is supposed to be, no longer in pain and smiling amongst the angels. Ferdinand leaves behind his wife, Enid McTaggart, two sons; Andrew and Markino, two daughters; Olivia (Hunter) and Tiersa. He is also survived by his mother, Alice McTaggart, four brothers; David Lilleith) Ellington, Dudley (Paula) Ellington, Stanley Ellington, Lawrence (Carrol) Ellington, and five sisters; Elfreda Johnson, Marcia (Dan) Dawson, Millicent Ellington, Margarette (Jeff) McTaggart-Toothaker, Alecia (Keddrick) Hill, two grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Walter McTaggart, and niece, Marsha Clarke. Ferdinand approached life with vigor. No matter what test he had to go through, he always said he was blessed. He showed strength until the end. Let’s remember everything he shared with us and be happy that he has finally gone home to our creator.
