Lawrence I. Sanchez

Lawrence I. Sanchez Sr., 63, entered Heaven on January 06, 2016. He is survived by Mary his wife of 40 years, children; Lawrence Jr. (Jackie), Joseph, Evie, Jazelle and Michael, 12 grandchildren, brothers; Peter (Lolly), Tony (Cheryl), Jerome (Valerie), sister; Rose (Bernie), sisters-in-law; Rosie and Patsy and his brother-in-law; Charles, 12 nieces and nephews and 8 grand-nephews and nieces. Lawrence worked in the mine in San Manuel for 28 years until it shut down in 1999. He then went to work at the University Of Arizona Meat and Research Lab for almost 13 years until he retired. He was originally from Espanola, New Mexico where his family owned a working Ranch, there Lawrence learned the love of the land and open country air. Although he was an avid hunter he had a deep respect for nature and animals. His best friend was his horse “Renegade” with whom he spent countless hours with out in the open, at rodeos and hunting. He was a hard worker and a wonderful family man. The friends he made he kept for life and he earned the love and respect of all. Visitation will be held at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 609 Park Pl., San Manuel, AZ on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 11:30 a.m. Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. A Burial will be held at a later date.
