Maria Lucia Madril was born in Tubac, AZ, on December 13, 1925. On February 3, 2016 she was called home to be with the Lord. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ramon F. Madril and parents Theodoro and Emilia Ybarra. She is survived by her children; Ramon Y. Madril (Kathryn), Johnny Madril (Diana), Mary Reyes (Johnny), Emily Apolinar (Gilbert), Sylvia Orozco (Ramon), Yolanda Goodman (Bill) and Enedina Bailey (Jim). Also two adopted children, 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Patricio Ybarra; sisters, Laura Montoya, Helen Solares, Cecilia Ramirez and Irene Celaya; many nieces and nephews and other family members she helped raise. Maria lived her life always giving and never expected anything in return. She was well-known for her tamales and homemade tortillas; nobody ever left her home hungry. She loved cooking, sewing, knitting and occasionally going to the casino. Her grandchildren will remember her by the dollar bills she would give them every time they saw her. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be at Martinez Funeral Chapels on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Rosary 7:00 p.m. Mass will be on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Tubac followed by a burial in the Tubac Cemetery.
