John H. Mendoza, 72, Born July 31, 1943 and passed on February 15, 2016. Proceeded in death by parents John C. and Annie Mendoza, sisters Gloria McCulloch and Ana Arevalo. He is survived by wife Alma Mendoza, sister Dolores “Lolly” Brumit (Dale), daughters Gloria Montaño (Steve) and Andrianna Mendoza and son John J Mendoza. He cherished his “girls” Fenice, Corrina, Isabella, Sophia and Amaya. He was so proud of his “boys” Westyn, Nathan and Beau. He is also survived by new grandson Asher, and many other beloved family members. After graduating as a Pueblo Warrior Class of 1961 he served in the U.S. Navy. He then set out to start his career in design engineering, working with Learjet, Bombardier, Boeing and McDowell Douglas where he made many lifelong friendships. He was so honored to be part of the work he did on Air Force One during Ronald Reagan’s term. He was an avid UofA fan, enjoyed hunting, camping, and swimming but most of all loved spending time with his family. A special Thank You to Family First Care Home and Casa De La Luz Hospice for their wonderful support and care. We will miss him so much, but we must realize he is home and his mind is clear. Rosary will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels Life Celebration Hall, 2500 S. 6th Ave,. on Friday, February, 26 2016 at 8:00a.m. Mass will follow at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Family and friends welcome afterwards at Jacobs Park Rec Ctr.
