Virginia “Gina” Saunders Flores, 71, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on March 1, 2016. She is lovingly survived by her beloved husband of 48 years; Joe A. Flores; children, Eddie Flores (Michelle), J.J. Flores (Rita), Tony Flores (Liz) and daughter; Regina Flores; sister, Rachel Nayarez; brothers, Richard Ruiz, Daniel Ochoa and Louis Granillo. She had 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Gina attended Garfield High School in California and later moved back to Tucson where she met her husband, raised her children and helped run the Flores family drug store. Gina’s small appearance didn’t match her “larger than life” personality. Her feistiness made up for her 4’ 11-1/2” frame which kept her husband constantly on his 6’-2” toes. She loved singing and dancing. It truly brought her great joy to spend time with friends and family that loved the smile and laughter she brought to all who knew her. Her best friend of all was her daughter and she was so proud of the recent arrival of her newest granddaughter. Gina will always be loved. The memories she made will live forever in the hearts of those she touched. Her family and friends now have a very special Angel watching over them. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. To 5:00 p.m. with a Chapel Eulogy Service at 1:30 p.m. At Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson, Az. All services Entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels.
