Jose "Joe'' V. Ortiz

Jose (Joe) V. Ortiz, 88, of Ruby, AZ, departed on April 4, 2016. Preceded in death by his loving wife; Gloria T. Ortiz and son; Joe "Mafos" T. Ortiz Jr. Beloved Patriarch of 12 children; Guadalupe T. Ortiz, Eliza (Sergio), Cecilia (Miguel) Santa Cruz, Oralia (Gene) Ahumada, Yolanda (Edward) Padilla, Fernando (Susie) Ortiz, Abraham (Penny) Ortiz, Anna Bertha Ortiz, Martha (Phillip) Hernandez, Michael (Diane) Ortiz, Abel (Carmen) Ortiz, and survived by; 1 brother and 3 sisters, 56 grand children, 129 great-grand children and 11 great-great-grand children, also many cousins, nieces, nephews, sister-in-law and friends. He loved his music, guitar, food, sweets, plants, scaring his grand children and smashing cans. This love will carry on throughout the family generations. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 12, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7:00p.m. at Martinez Funeral Chapels, 2580 S. 6th Ave. Mass will be held the following day, Wednesday April 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Church. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. All Services Entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels.
