Horacio Arzaga Lujan

Horacio Arzaga Lujan passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 10, 2016 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife; Olivia, children; Sylvia Ann Soto, Irma Lynne Watson (Richard Christopher Watson), Thomas Frederick Lujan (Marisela Lujan) and Horacio Arzaga Lujan Jr., grandchildren; Alexis Jhovani Guzman Aguilera and Nuvia Alayne Lujan Guzman and two great grand children, siblings; Mary (Victor Bencomo), Lorenza L Lujan (Bob Felix), Consuelo (Frank Placencio) and Ramona Lujan (Eleuterio Munoz). He is preceded in death by his parents; Manuela and Pete Lujan, sister; Felicitas Bencomo and brother; Pete Lujan Jr. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother and grandfather. He will be missed by all. Horacio was born on January 15, 1941, in Silver City, NM to Manuela and Pete Lujan. He married his sweetheart Olivia Delgado in 1967 in Silver City, NM. Horacio worked for Asarco Mine as an underground miner, construction worker, and Lead Warehouse personnel. Over 7 years, the couple welcomed 4 children into their home and Horacio set about teaching them to be kind, loving and generous. He is remembered as a loving, funny, humble, gifted, talented, a skilled perfectionist father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Horacio was a proficient welder, auto mechanic, carpenter, upholsterer and always used his talents to help others. Services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Chapel, 2580 S. 6th Ave. Horacio's Niece Rev. Catherine Marie Vega will officiate the ceremony.
