Our beloved Ricardo Sanchez, known to many as Richie, was called by the lord on June 1, 2016
Richie was not only a great husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was also a great friend and mentor to all. He was always willing to help others in time of need and never hesitated to teach others his knowledge. He loved to joke around and enjoyed to make others laugh. Even during his hard times, he made the doctors and nurses laugh. Always in good spirits and never gave up.
Richie was a family man, who enjoyed spending quality family time. He taught us the importance of always being united, to help and love each other regardless of the storm. He set the best examples of responsibility, dependability and working hard for what you want. Prior to retiring, Richie worked for Giumarra companies and received an award for 35 years of service. He enjoyed his work and loved his co- workers.
Richie’s biggest hobby was hunting. Every year it was more and more exciting for him. He taught his son what he knew and together along with friends would enjoy their yearly hunting time.
When someone passes away, the love you have for them becomes a memory. The memory of that love will be the treasure that will live on forever. You may be gone, but never forgotten. You will forever live strong in our hearts until we meet again. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Emilia Sanchez; son, Ricardo Sanchez, Jr. (Vanessa); daughters, Elizabeth Sanchez, and Marina Sanchez de Ozuna (Rigoberto Ozuna); brother, Enrique G. Sanchez; sisters, Bertha Gutierrez, and Eva Michel. Services will begin with a visitation at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass Celebration will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Jesus Parish with a burial to follow at Lucero Family Cemetery.
