Henry V. Machado, 76, of Tucson, AZ was called to his eternal home on June 5, 2016. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years Maria Jesus Machado, children Yolanda, Dolores, David (Mary), Juanita, grandchildren Gretel Machado, Cano Lopez Jr, Rachael Islas, Sylvia Islas, 3 great grandchildren and another on the way. One brother Joe Machado also survives him. Preceded in death by his parents Francisco & Francisca Machado as well as brothers Manuel, Frank, David, Roberto, Rudy sisters Jesse Cisneros and Mary Ann Valencia. Henry was a Teamster, Laborers’ Local Union #383 and construction worker. His favorite vehicle to drive was the boom truck. Henry was known as “El Yaqui”, “Machado” and lovingly known by his children and softball team ladies as “Feo”. Henry will be greatly missed by all his nieces, nephews, cousins, God children, friends and acquaintances as he undoubtedly left a tremendous impression on everyone he met. Visitation will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapel from 8:00a.m. to 10:30a.m., with a rosary at 9:00a.m. Mass will follow at 11:00a.m. at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held after interment at Most Holy Trinity Church from 1:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, we the family request that blood, platelets and/or monetary donations be made to the American Red Cross on his behalf.
