Irma B. Escareño, 86, entered Heaven's gates on July 10, 2016. Beloved wife to Federico "Hillie" Escareño for 64 years; loving mother to Gilberto "Hillie" Escareño (Margarita), Irma Beatriz Escareño, Alma Patricia Gallegos (Horacio) and Elvira A. Seezox (Steve); grandmother extraordinaire to Cristol, Cristobal and Ivan Escareño; Vanessa, Christian and Cesar Gallegos; and Steven and Daniela Seezox; caring sister to Rodolfo and Oscar Monroy; great-grandmother to 8 precious great-grandchildren and trustworthy friend to many. Irma was born July 29, 1929 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to Nepomuceno "Cheno" Monroy and Elvira Rivera de Monroy. She was a graduate of Lourdes High School and in her spare time helped her mother run the family restaurant, Elvira's, where she met the love of her life. Extremely family oriented, Irma was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. In her past-time she enjoyed decorating her home and sewing. Irma had an unwaivering faith in God. Her generosity and charity extended to many people including strangers. To know Irma was to love her. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts that were touched by hers. Funeral services will begin with a visitation on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Rosary 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. all at Sacred Heart Church. Services will conclude upon Mass end. Martinez Funeral Chapels, 891 W. Mariposa Rd., Nogales, AZ, entrusted with funeral arrangements.
