Our Dad, Manny or as his grandchildren called him- Crazy Tata- was above all a hard worker. For the majority of his life, he was a miner, but his first career was in barbering. He gave free haircuts to everyone on our block, his co-workers, and of course his children. He gave a mean mullet! However, barbering wasn't an industry that would provide for his family. So in 1980 our dad began working as an underground copper miner for Magma Mining in San Manuel, Arizona. Mining is hard on the body but our dad took pride in providing for our family. Though Big Manny worked a lot, he also knew how to relax. He spent his time off watching his football team "Da Bears" play, and hosting carne asadas for the entire family. He LOVED to have a good time and look good while doing it- his style was impeccable. He loved to listen to Low Rider Oldies and reminisce over shots of tequila with his compadres. We have so many pictures that capture him and his brothers singing and toasting all of our departed loved ones. Dad, we didn't expect to be toasting you in this way so soon. We love you, dad, we love you, Crazy Tata, we will miss you until we see you again.
