Carmen C. Ojeda, 80, was surrounded by her family when she went home to her Lord and Saviour on October 17, 2016. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Deacon Jose R. Ojeda; sons; Jose M. Ojeda, Jr. (Jesse), Sergio A. Ojeda (Marcella) and Jaime J. Bravo (Carmen); daughters; Patricia B. Ojeda, Elizabeth Ojeda-Valenzuela (Guillermo) and Rosie M. Gonzales (Robert); grandchildren; Joe De La Rosa, Yvette De La Rosa, Michael Burgess-Ojeda, Shae Ojeda, Ruben Gonzales Jr., Raquel Gonzales, Gabriel Gonzales, Gabriela Gonzales, Jaime Bravo Jr., great grandchildren; Anissa, Dominique, Jayden, Joey Dallas, Izaiah, Christian, Kaleb, Aiden, Kayla, Zander, Zaylie, Lucy, Lane, Lauren and Kaylin. Carmen will be remembered as a very caring and compassionate person and always put the needs of others before her own. Her home was always open to her friends and family with whom she would greet and always offer something to eat. She was a woman of strong faith and never took for granted the simple things in life that she was blessed with. She spent many years fighting for her health but never burdened anyone. She dedicated her life to helping others serve Christ, alongside her husband, by doing Catholic Couple's Retreats and serving as a Cursillistas. She was lovingly known as "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and provided them with an abundance of love. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched. Funeral services will begin with a Visitation on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Rosary 7:00 p.m. Mass will be on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church.
