Bernardo Castillo Lara

Bernardo Castillo Lara, 79, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on December 15, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marina Rivas de Lara; sons, Jose Bernardo Lara and Miguel Rosario Valenzuela; daughters, Andrea Lara (Javier), Araceli Zatarain (Jose), Mabeth Sepulveda (Jose), Nelva Lara (Jesus) and Diana Munguia (Daniel); 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Bernardo was such a happy and fun-loving husband, father and grandfather.  He always put a smile on his family’s face by showing them love and affection and by playing jokes on them.  He was a faithful man of the Lord and enjoyed reading his bible.  You could always count on him to lend you a helping hand.  In his youth he spent many years on the ranch. He always kept himself busy and took great care of his plants and flowers. He fought a long fight but is now resting in Paradise. He will always be lovingly remembered and greatly missed. Funeral services will begin with a visitation on Monday, December 19, 2016 at La Vid Verdadera Church, 100 W. Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., also at La Vid Verdadera Church, followed by a burial at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels, 2580 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85713. Bernardo Castillo Lara, 79, fue a casa para estar con su padre celestial el dia 15 de Diciembre del 2016.  Es sobrevivido por su amada esposa por 52 años, Marina Rivas de Lara; sus hijos Jose Bernardo Lara y Miguel Rosario Valenzuela; sus hijas Andrea Lara (Javier), Araceli Zatarain (Jose), Mabeth Sepulveda (Jose), Nelva Lara (Jesus), y Diana Munguia (Daniel); 31 nietos y 10 bisnietos.  Bernardo fue una persona muy feliz, muy amoroso esposo, padre y abuelo.  Siempre encontró la manera de poner una sonrisa en las caras de sus familiares con solo darles amor, afecto, y bromeando con ellos.  Siempre fue un hombre fiel del señor y disfrutaba leer su biblia.  Bernardo siempre estaba listo y dispuesto a ayudar a todos. En su juventud el paso muchos años en el rancho. Siempre se mantuvo ocupado y cuidaba mucho sus plantas y sus flores.  Pelio una batalla larga pero ahora descansa en el paraíso. Por siempre será recordado con mucho amor y se le extrañara bastante. Servicios fúnebres comenzaran con un velorio el dia Lunes, 19 de Diciembre del 2016 en la Iglesia La Vid Verdadera, 100 W. Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ de 6:30 p.m. a 9 p.m. El servicio de funeral será el Martes, 20 de Diciembre del 2016, también en la Iglesia La Vid Verdadera a las 10:00 a.m. y seguido por su entierro en Holy Hope Cemetery.  Arreglos fueron confiados a Martinez Funeral Chapels, 2580 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85713.
