Olga Romero, 83, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, Sister, Tia and cousin to many. Olga was called to her eternal resting place on Jan 5th, 2017. Olga entered this world on April 26th, 1933 in Tucson, AZ, born to Rafael & Victoria Soto. Olga is survived by her son Ralph Romero, Granddaughter- Bernadette Romero (great-grandson Julian Avilez), Granddaughter- Crystal Romero (great-granddaughter- Aaliah Sanchez), Granddaughter- Maria Olga Kane (great-grandchildren- Antonio Sifuentes, Damien Kane, Reyna Mandros, Damian Mandros Jr.). Her sister and four brothers: Hortencia, Ramon, Roberto (Maria), Rudy (Dolores), Ruben (Grace), Joey (Pat). Preceded in death by her parents Rafael and Victoria Soto, Husband- Ernesto Romero, Son- Francisco Romero, Daughter- Delia Romero, Sisters- Cecilia "Nardie" and Irene "Shirley". Olga also has many nieces, nephews, cousins and God- Children who adore her and learned many life lessons that will never be forgotten. Olga held her family and friends who reside in Mexico close to her heart and with open arms and offering her home to anyone in need her hospitality will be missed. Olga's bottomless pan of beans and endless offerings of meals to all that visited are memories we will all miss and treasure. The family would like to give a VERY special and sincere THANK YOU to a special friend that Olga trusted and loved very dearly, Victoria Aguilar. Thank you for being a special light in our grandmothers life. Also, Christine Chavez thank you from all of us, for the care and time you dedicated and the sacrifices you made to help make our grandmother comfortable. And last but certainly not least, Ana Martinez and family- for many years of support and friendship after the loss of the only daughter Delia, Ana and her family stepped in to ease the burden of such a huge loss. The Romero family will forever be grateful for the friendships and extended family like relationships that were created throughout the years. We hope that the visits to the Romero residence don't fade as the years pass as Olga's son Ralph and grandsons will do his best to try to keep that pot of beans warm as she would have expected. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Martinez Funeral Chapels 2580 S. 6th Avenue from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held the following day, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
