Minnie Figueroa, 80, was a beloved mother, grandmother and tia. Minnie was called to eternal resting place on January 10th peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Minnie entered this world on June 11th, 1936 in Tucson, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her son; Danny Figueroa, husband; Frank Figueroa, parents; Leonard & Esther Valdez, sisters; Lilly & Hortensia, and brother; Tony Valdez. She is survived by her daughter; Linda (Claudio) Olmedo, Son; David Figueroa, grandson; Stephen Burton, along with many nieces and nephews. Minnie was known for making the best corn tamales, was a big fan of the Arizona Diamondback, and loved going to the casinos. Celebration will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels 2580 S. 6th Avenue on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with Holy Mass at St. John's Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow to her final resting place at Holy Hope Cemetery. Now I know why you always told us to be strong because you knew that one day I would need the strength to bear your loss a wound that will never quite heal. Love you forever Mom.
