Esperanza G. Cañez

Esperanza G. Canez was born on March 24, 1938 and called home on February 11, 2017. Esperanza is survived by her husband of 54 years; Alberto Canez Sr., four sisters; Estella, Alica, Soledad and Apolonia as well as one brother; Juan, children; Alberto Canez Jr, Marisela Matuzak, and Luis H Canez Sr (Lynette Duchene), grandchildren; Alberto Canez Iii (Melissa) , Luis A. Canez (Yvonne), Maria Catalina Canez, Luis H. Canez Jr, Veronica Canez, Clairessa Zavala (Hector) , Christopher Canez, Joshua Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez (Krisandi) , Jessica Figueroa, Isabel Figueroa, Amanda Figueroa and Alex Moreno, great-grandchildren; Jesus Canez, Mateo Canez, Luis R. Canez, Ariana Canez, Hector Zavala, Noah Gonzalez, Bella Gonzalez, Analisa Monreal, Neveah Canez, Miguel Canez, Angelo Garcia, Ruben Canez, Juan Carlos Orozco, Aiyanna Canez, Kashley Gonzalez, Montana Gonzalez, Seneca Gonzalez, Wylder Gonzalez, Rudy Romero Iii, Isela Romero and Aaron Romero, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Esperanza was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who loved to spend her time with her family camping, cooking out and listening to music. She especially loved hosting holidays, birthdays and seeing her great-grandchildren. Esperanza was loved by all and will be greatly missed.The family would like to thank the staff at TMC Peppi’s House for all the wonderful care and assistance they have provided to the family and Esperanza during her time there. A viewing will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels 2580 S. 6th Avenue on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 8:45 a.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated at St. Margarets Church, 801 N.
