Honorable Carlos “Charlie” SalazCarlos Salaz, 73 of Tucson, Arizona passed into eternal life on February 28, 2017. Born September 15, 1943 in Tucson, Arizona to Soledad and Guadalupe (Galvan) Salaz. He is survived by his beloved Son; Felix Luis Salaz and daughter Marianna Salaz Adams (Gary), grandchildren; John Michael Llamas, William Patrick Quihuis, Elisa Salaz Perez (Raul), Demetrio Santa Maria Salaz, Brandon Michael Quihuis and Emma Guadalupe Socorro Salaz, two great grandchildren; Elisavel Perez, Eliana Perez, brothers: Richard Salaz, Tony Salaz, Armando Salaz, Eddie Salaz, Gilbert Salaz Nick Salaz, Sisters: Frances Uhrig and Guadalupe Dobson, as well as numerus nephews, nieces, cousins and loved ones..Preceded in death by his son Carlos G. Salaz Jr, parents Soledad and Guadalupe Salaz, Sister Margarita Arevalos and nephew Robert Salaz. Carlos graduated from Pueblo High School, served his country in the U.S. Navy, worked for BHP (Magma) Copper Co. and was a member of The United Steelworkers of America. He served his community as council member for The City of South Tucson. Carlos had a passion for people, politics, and charities. He was a very active member of the community and involved with numerous organizations and causes. Such as Pima County Democratic party and No More Deaths.
