Albert A. Altamirano, 86, was reunited with his beloved wife in Heaven on February 22, 2018. He is preceded in the death by his loving wife of 44 years: Angela Altamirano; Daughter: Leticia Altamirano; and granddaughter: Ashley Franco. He is survived by his sons: Albert Altamirano (Jewel) and Alfredo Altamirano (Judith). Daughters: Lucia A. Lopez, Mercedes Lopez (Hector), and Ana Maria Altamirano (Lupe); 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Albert was very reserved, He was "not a man of many words". He loved the outdoors and enjoyed bar-b-cues and camping. One of his favorite pastimes was gardening. He loved horses and had a good time when he joined roping competitions. Albert was a strict father, very disciplinary with his children but was quite different with his grandchildren. He was always humming. It didn't matter where he was or what he was doing. His nurses would always say "Ahi viene el pajarito" (here comes our little bird). He was a big baseball fan. He loved food, but his favorite was meat and would enjoy a few shots of Whiskey here and there. He was known for being an amazing story teller, and you were sure to enjoy every single one of them, even though he made up some of them. For all of his great qualities, he will truly be missed by all those whose life's he touched.
