Amadeo Gonzalez Villanueva, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on May 19, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born to Rodolfo and Julia Villanueva on September 14, 1963, in Los Angeles, California.

Amadeo is remembered as a kind and generous soul who was always ready to lend a helping hand. His willingness to assist with household chores like fixing leaky faucets or hanging ceiling fans stood as a testament to his caring nature. Known for his wisdom and wit, Amadeo approached life with a calm and collected demeanor, touching the hearts of all who crossed his path.

His educational journey led him through San Manuel High School, Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, and trade school in Phoenix. Professionally thriving as a Water Systems Operator for the City of Tucson Water department, showcased his dedication and passion for serving the community. 

Beyond his career, Amadeo found joy in making people laugh and cherished spending time with his horse, George. Dancing with friends and family brought him immense happiness, highlighting his vibrant spirit. He also took great pride in coaching sports and nurturing youth sports programs.

Among his proudest accomplishments were his children, Lorena Villanueva Giles (Joshua) and Alex Villanueva (Desiraee). Amadeo is survived by his children, grandchildren (Illiana, Andrez, Mila, Amiyah, Brielle, Zaidyn, and Alex), siblings (Lupe Alaniz, Angie Ponce, Cristina Montiel, Lucia Villanueva, Gabriel Villanueva), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Services to honor and remember Amadeo will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Then we will proceed to St. Augustine Cathedral for a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m. 

Amadeo Gonzalez Villanueva will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
