Angel R. Silva

March 30, 1950 — January 5, 2019

Angel R. Silva, 68, sadly passed away on January 5, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona. Angel was a part of a big family since birth. He is preceded in death by his parents Angel Sr. and Gullermina Silva who left behind a legacy of Silva family, which thankfully brings great comfort and support during this difficult time. Angel is survived by his wife, Mary Silva; Sons: Angel R. Silva Jr (Jessica) and Brad Sibley; Daughters: Claudia Torrez (Chris), Claribel Silva (Jaime), Angelica Rivera (Bernie) and Jennifer Stewart (Jovan); Brothers: David Silva, Javier Silva (Julia), Victor Silva, and Diego Silva (Sonya); Sisters: Maria Acuña (Hector), Christina Serrano (Luis), Veronica Villaseñor (Martin), Guillermina Martinez (Miguel) and Maria "CuquitaEscarcega (Oscar); and extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren. Angel was very blessed and proud of his 19 grandchildren: Esai, Nadia, NeidaNydiaYrianaYaritza, Jaime Jr, Aj, AnikaAnalisaAnakin, Adrian, Briella, Benjamin, Esteban, Isaiah, Mambo, Roman, and Janessa

All survived family members represent an accurate portrayal of a very distinct personality trait and sentiment Angel held dearly;Family. Everyone knew Angel to be kind, generous of his time, always offering to help family and friends with housework, handy work, and companionship in time of need. Angel was thoughtful and sweet; eager to make someone laugh and smile. Although he was a quiet man, he wasn't shy. On the contrary, he enjoyed a good laugh, and loved enjoying a beer and conversation with those he loved at his favorite bar, family events, and at home with the mexican music forever playing in the background! Angel's love of Mariachi, dancing with his wife, attending church, and of course U of A sporting events are just a few examples of his favorite things. Most often, you would find Angel wearing U of A apparel, representing his town, his state, his love of sports all in one. It was his signature look!

There are no words that can express the magnitude of grief we feel in losing Angel; our Husband, Father, Step Father, brother, Tata, Brother in-law, cousin, and friend. Angel was more than all of these titles. Ultimately he was a great man of Faith and Love, and extremely loyal to those he loved. He will forever be loved and missed and though we have to temporarily part, we look forward to an eternity together.
