On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, Angelita Angie V. Ferrin, beloved mother & grandmother passed away at the age of 91 in Tucson. She is survived by her children; Beatrice Borquez, Rebecca (Charles) Carter, Robert R. Ramos, stepson; Darrell Ferrin, Cecilia (Robert) Valdez, step-daughter; Janet (Michael) Ferrin Nachreiner, adopted daughter; Veronica (Celestino) Haro, brothers; Vicente (Consuelo) Romo and Gilberto (Irene) Gil, sister; Carmen Bustamante, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother; Delfina Gil, her husband; Wendel Ferrin, son; Eduardo (Lalo a.k.a. Houdini) Borquez and siblings; Ramon Villa, Luis Villa, Josefina Olea, Manuel Romo, Francisca Romo, Refugia Romo & Martha Santa Cruz.
Angie was born on June 18, 1929 in Cortaro, AZ to Delfina & Reynaldo Villa. She engaged in a number of occupations ranging from commercial laundering to meatpacking to housekeeping. She was also a Mexican cuisine entrepreneur and sold burritos, tortillas and tamales to loyal customers for many, many years. She was married 2 times. Her second marriage to Wendel took place on October 13, 1979 in Tucson, AZ. He swept her off her feet and introduced her to a lifestyle that included travel, new experiences & unconditional love; all things that she was more than deserving of yet very unaccustomed to.
Anyone that knew Angie knew she loved the color purple and had the biggest heart. She loved her kids and her family more than anything. She enjoyed playing card games as well as crossword puzzles. We always marveled at the fact that she never seemed to get tired of watching every single Hallmark movie ever filmed over & over. Her love for the Arizona Diamondbacks was rivaled only by her love of the one-armed bandit.
We would like to give special thanks to her caregivers; Juanita, Maria, Norma, Anna & Laura from Asterion Acres and Todd, Sue & Maria from Emblem Hospice for their endless loving care.
