Anna Luz Padilla Corralejo

August 13, 1962 — November 23, 2023

Tucson, Arizona

Anna Luz Padilla Corralejo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on November 23, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on August 13, 1962, in Patagonia, Arizona. Anna's passing leaves behind a void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anna had a diverse career that reflected her nurturing nature and dedication to helping others. She worked as a medical assistant, caring for those in need with compassion and professionalism. Additionally, she dedicated her time to taking care of children in an after-school program, providing them with love and guidance when they needed it the most. Anna was also known for her role as a bus driver, shuttling people to and from the Gem Show that graces Tucson each year.

Education played an important role in Anna's life. She attended Wakefield Middle School and Pueblo High School. These educational institutions provided her with a foundation upon which she built a life filled with compassion and integrity.

Anna was known as the boss of taking care of her family at home. Her loved ones could always count on her support, love, and guidance. With a mischievous sense of humor, she brightened the lives of those around her as a natural jokester. Her brothers affectionately nicknamed her "TuffyToro," reflecting both her resilience and determination.

Cooking for her family was one of Anna's greatest pleasures. She poured love into every dish she prepared, creating meals that brought joy to those fortunate enough to enjoy them. Her culinary talents were matched only by her passion for shopping. Anna found solace and delight in exploring stores and finding treasures to share with loved ones. In her younger years, she embraced adventure by indulging in one of her favorite hobbies—riding horses.

Among all of Anna's accomplishments in life, none brought her more pride than her children and grandchildren. She cherished her role as a wife and mother, raising her sons Victor Manuel Otero Jr. (Vicki Yasmin) and Alejandro Cancio Padilla with boundless love and devotion. Anna's heart expanded even further when she welcomed her precious grandchildren Vincent G. Otero, Victor E. Otero, and Isaac Corralejo into the world.

Anna's legacy extends beyond immediate family. She was the cherished daughter of Tirso and Cristina Padilla, and a sister to Tirso Padilla (Stella), Louie Padilla (Christine), and Alfonso Padilla. She also embraced Juan Manuel Corralejo Sr.'s son, Juan Corralejo Jr. (Gina), as part of her loving family. Additionally, she leaves behind sister-in-laws Maria Arredondo, Leticia Otero, Diana Otero, the mother of her grandchildren Cynthia E. Otero, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Though Anna is no longer physically with us, her impact on our lives will be eternally felt. Her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
