Arsenio M. Lorta

Arsenio M. Lorta, 85, departed this earthly life at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.  Arsenio is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Angelina Lorta. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria De La Ossa Lorta.  They were married on February 14, 1953; Sons, Arsenio (Delly), George (Jennie), William (Rebecca) and Art (Margarita) Lorta; daughter, Telma (Everarado) Gonzalez; brother, Enrique Lorta; 12 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Arsenio is lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria; sons Arsenio (Delly) Lorta, George (Jennie) Lorta, William (Rebecca) Lorta, Arturo (Maggie) Lorta; daughter Telma (Everado) Gonzalez, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Arsenio was born in Santa Cruz Sonora, Mexico in 1931. He worked and retired from the City of Nogales. Arsenio enjoyed a passion for rodeo, especially team roping and bull riding, as well occasional casino runs, and spending time with his family. His family will most remember the story telling, and the best life coach he aimed to be.

Services will begin with a visitation at Martinez Funeral Chapels on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in Nogales from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will continue on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Patagonia with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. and a Mass Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial internment will take place after the Mass at the Patagonia Cemetery.
