Arthur Jesus Castro, affectionately known as Joe, was born on February 20, 1951, and passed away on January 21, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. A devoted husband to Rebecca Castro, Arthur cherished his family above all else, proudly raising five children who carry on his legacy of love and faith. Arthur was known for his understanding nature, always open to listening to differing opinions. Other than telling us stories of him in the Army and going to college. His favorite pastimes included watching westerns, savoring a glass of wine, and immersing himself in documentaries. An avid lover of all foods, Arthur was someone who would never let food go to waste, even if it already has.“Keep it down to a low roar” a phrase we all know Arthur by. Bringing back memories from both our childhoods to adults now. Arthur's faith as a devoted Catholic was integral to his life and values. Stories of his experiences in the army and his upbringing painted a rich tapestry of a man who was both resilient and loving. In a time where we mourn a loved one we often ask the meaning of life, and wonder if we’re using our time wisely. If Arthur were here he’d say his proudest accomplishment was creating a large and loving family, a testament to his commitment of nurturing relationships. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him, leaving behind fond memories and a lasting impact on those he loved.
