Arturo Gabriel Pena Jr.

Arturo (Tury) Gabriel Pena Jr. age 19, was born on October 9th, 2000, and passed away at home on December 30th 20019, after a long fight with cancer. Tury was a recent graduate of Tucson High achieving his dream of graduating High School like an average teenager. He walked across the stage to receive his diploma with the graduating class of 2019 with his many friends. While Tury had many interests in life, most notable was his love for and talent for art. This passion for art was found in the most unlikely of places in his hospital bed while undergoing chemotherapy. But this goes to show the positive outlook and consistently happy outlook on life that Tury always had even in the most difficult of situations. Tury was never one to complain and always brought light and happiness to any room that he was in. Even in his last days, he found the strength to play with Legos with his younger brother and cousin when all he wanted to do was sleep. This positive outlook, light, and disposition is the memory that he wanted everyone to have of him. While Tury may be gone, but he will never be forgotten, and his light will always carry on
