Bertha Susana Uribe

Bertha Susana Uribe, age 78, passed away peacefully July 16^th, 2019 due to congestive heart failure.  She was born August 8, 1940 in Mexico City to Jesus and Maria de Jesus Romo.  At the age of 22, she came to Nogales ad never returned to Mexico.  She met and married George Henry Uribe in 1962.  After a whirlwind 3 week romance, they spent the next 42 years together.  She dedicated her life to him and enjoyed every minute with her “Viejo”.  She lost George in 2005 and she continued her journey waiting to be reunited.

Bertha was a stay at home mom for many years, and when he retired, she went to work.  She loved the challenge of doing both at the same time.  They traveled the world and spent very happy moments together.  After passing, she turned her time over to her children, grandchildren and her friends.  Between Church, Jazzercise and shopping, she was always coming and going.  Bertha would travel to Phoenix to be with her Daughters and there was never a dull moment.  Her hands were rarely still with all the knitting projects.  She loved to shop and find all the bargains she could.  She never tired of doing what she could do for others and always had a loving smile for all.  Dressed to a “T” at every occasion, and armed with her lipstick, she was ready for anything.

Bertha is survived by her two children: Deborah Webster and Katheryn Williams; her son in law: Chuck Williams, her siblings, Salvador, Tere, Manolete and Paco.  She leaves behind 9 wonderful grandchildren: George, Manny, Cindy, Louie, Cody, Maddy, Ashlee, Samantha and Bryan and also 8 great grandchildren.  All of which she loved and touched deeply.

Please join us celebrating her life on Saturday morning, July 27, 2019 @ Sacred Heart Church.  Visitation at 9:00 a.m. Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The burial will immediately follow at the Nogales City Cemetery on Western Avenue.

Immediately following the completion of services you are welcomed to join us for a luncheon in her honor at the home of John and Elizabeth Uribe:  935 East Rancho Grande Circle, Nogales, Arizona 85621
