Carmen Caballero Ornelas

On July 22, 2020, our beautiful mother Carmen C. Ornelas (Ela) 89. was called to be with our good Lord. She was born in Tucson, Arizona. She is survived by her children Joe M. Ornelas ( Darla Carter), Guadalupe O. Cantua ( George V. Cantua), Oscar R. Ornelas (Elena T. Ornelas), Gloria O. Ruiz ( Gabriel Ruiz), Martin R. Ornelas ( Patty Meza), brother Roy Caballero. She is preceded in death by parents; Manuel and Santos R. Caballero, sisters; Grace A. Caballero, Martha Elena C. Magana brothers; Oscar R. Caballero, Eduardo M. Caballero (Mickey), Roberto R. Caballero (Tito), Ruben R. Caballero, son Ernesto C. Ornelas; grandson; Oscar G. Ornelas. 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.

Our mother will be remembered for her generosity, always offering her home to those who needed a place to stay. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Augustine Cathedral. She traditionally provided our family with delicious Christmas Eve Menudo and amazing Capirotada during Lent Her pups, Daisy, Shadow and Spanky were spoiled to no end, as they kept her company for many years. Our mother always made sure she had her hair done weekly with Leilani and loved wearing bright colors especially Fuisha Pink. She loved to hear Mariachi music and her favorite song was La Rama del Mesquite. Our mother was funny, feisty, fun-loving and will truly be missed by all who knew her. We tremendously miss our mom, but we humble ourselves to our Lord for giving us the years we had with her. Mom we love you! Please continue to protect and bless us from above. Thank you mom for all you did for us. Until we see you again, your loving kids.
