Cecilia L. Estrada

Loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, these are just a few words that describe Cecilia (Ceci) Maria Leyva Estrada who was born in Nogales, Arizona November 22, 1949 and gave her last fight on April 19, 2020 at the age of 70. Sole daughter to Guadalupe Leyva, Cecilia was a Nogales native and a Nogales High School Apache graduate of 1970 who left us too soon when she heard GOD’s calling. In 1967 she met who would later be the love of her life and husband (08/02/1970 – 04/19/2020) for the next 49 years, 8 months and 17days and well the rest was history in the making. She is remembered dearly by many since she worked in the kitchen of the Francisco Vazquez de Coronado Elementary school for over 20 years where she made long life friendships which she treasured.

She is survived by her husband Luis R. Estrada, sons Jose Alfredo (Jeannette), Luis (Myriam) and daughter Monica, as well as 8 grandchildren, Dean (Jocelyn), Amber, Luis A., Jose C., Emily, Raymond, Luis G., & Camila and 2 great-grandchildren, Damari and Jaqzuel. She will be dearly missed but will always be in our hearts. Ceci enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends and her favorite pastime was listening to music and cooking.

Amorosa y querida esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela y amiga, estas son solo algunas palabras que describen a Cecilia (Ceci) María Leyva Estrada, que nació en Nogales, Arizona el 22 de Noviembre de 1949 y dio su última pelea el 19 de Abril de 2020 a sus 70 años. Hija única de la Señora Guadalupe Leyva (1920-2017), Cecilia graduó de la escuela Nogales High School – Casa de los Apaches en la clase 1970. Ella se nos fue muy pronto pero en paz, cuando El Señor decidió llamarla. En 1967 conoció a la persona que después sería el amor de su vida. Ella se casó con El Señor Luis Estrada en Agosto 2, 1970 y de su matrimonio le nacieron dos hijos y una hija. Ella trabajo en la cocina de la escuela Francisco Vázquez de Coronado por más de 20 años y es recordada por muchos.

A Cecilia le sobrevive su esposo Luis R. Estrada, hijos José Alfredo (Jeannette), Luis (Myriam) e hija Mónica, además de 8 nietos, Dean Patrick (Jocelyn), Amber Michelle, Luis Alfredo, Jose Carlos, Emily Ayleen, Raymond Dakota, Luis Gustavo y Camila Marie y dos bisnietos, Damari Nayeli y Jaqzuel Eduardo. Sera extrañada demasiado pero siempre estará en nuestro corazón. Ceci siempre fue rodeada del amor de su familia y amistades y su favorito pasa tiempo era escuchar música y cocinar.
