Christopher S Torres

September 25, 1965 — April 23, 2020

Christopher S. Torres, 54, passed away on the April 23rd of 2020 in Tucson, Arizona.

Christopher S. Torres Sr. (Frog, Jefe, Tata, Pops) was a lifelong resident of Tucson, Arizona. Christopher passed unexpectedly on April 23, 2020 at the young age of 54. At the timing of his sudden passing he was admitted to University Medical Center.

He was born in Tucson, Arizona to his beloved parents Ramona S. Torres and Ernesto Torres. Christopher has (8) siblings. He attended Cholla High School. Throughout Christopher's life he held many positions in the construction related occupations, and according to him “numerous positions in special forces, I.E. WWII, Vietnam, and hamburger hill”. He enjoyed watching football as he supported his favorite team, Philadelphia Eagles. Pop’s loved to spend his time outdoors doing all types of activities. Pop’s was a very open hearted person to everyone who crossed his path and little to his knowledge “A Lot of influence, he was a true leader and people followed”. Pop’s was a light hearted, a true jokester and it was never a dull moment around him. Within the last few years, he sustained a major injury to his right leg. Which resulted in numerous surgeries and scars, similar in size to gun shots. During this period, he had now issue explaining to his grandkids how it happened. In his words he would say “during his tour, he was advancing and got shot numerous times with a machine gun”. The way he told the story was so believable and funny. My pop’s was very family orientated and left his influence and love throughout, even sick he would make sure to visit his grandkids, at work and home.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, come to me. With tearful eyes we waited to hear from you, and prayed for your safe return. Every minute fault like hours, And hours turned into days. We loved your dearly, but prayers could not make your stay. God needed a new warrior and clearly called your name. A golden heart stopped beating, Hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove, He only takes the best!

Christopher is survived by his (Standing girlfriend) Shane Yanez, wife Denise C Mesa-Torres # Pimp. (1 son), Christopher Torres Jr. and (daughter in-law), Sofia Torres. (4 grandchildren), Ysannette A. Torres, Christopher Torres III, Gabriel A. Torres, Andrew A. Torres. (2 Sisters) Dolores Torres-Nogales (Pete Nogales), Lisa A. Torres. (3 Brothers) Ernest A. Torres, Oscar Torres (Adeline Jose-Torres), Armando Torres. (8 nieces, 8 nephews) and numerous great nieces and nephews, which he loved dearly (I.E. were Mexican).
